Some of these were all taken on the trail. Some were taken in front of the "bunk house". Some were just part of the family with horses. Some gooood lookin' horses..................Enjoy!
Larry and Chris Cigainero, husband and wife, and Joel Donoho, life-time friend, started this company in 2002. Larry's been breaking and training horses since 1978. Chris met Larry in 1980 and the rest, as they say, "is history". Chris loved horses too! A match made in heaven! Joel and Larry knew each other from their high school days, they're like brothers. Joel just started hangin' around more and more so our thought was...maybe he should start shovelin', washin', and ridin' too. Our kids, that are now grown, helped us too. Sometimes we get to bring them with us even now. They are great lookin' inside and out. We love people and horses and thought it would be a great idea to bring them together! It's really been a great experience getting to know the people that come to the Kern River Valley and we hope to meet you too! We hope to expand our business, one day, to help those people with physical handicaps and other challenges. If you would like to help us in that endeavor, please contact us by phone so that we can give you further information about our dream. We could not have done any of this without God's blessing and help. ~ For we know that with God all things are possible. ~
Customers keep coming back and bringing their family and friends. They are the best advertisement in our opinion. We also have received some thank you notes and postcards. Larry ~ Nina & I had a really wonderful time! Just wanted to Thank You! You were so good with Nina. She will never forget you & her first horseback ride! Elizabeth ;) Dear Larry & Chris ~ Thank you again for the greatest trail ride of my life! Having gone on trail rides with horses who are bored and/ or tired, with guides who don't say much about where you are, I truly appreciate the quality of experience that you offer on your rides. Honey was truly a "honey" of a horse; you, Chris and Larry, were intersting, informative and pleasant companions; the ride you mapped out was filled with beautiful country side, and authentic historical sights, and it was most kind of you to help me take pictures for my classroom's lessons in California history. I very much hope to be able to bring my daughters this summer, so they can share the fun! Sincerely, Janice Brown Thank you for sharing your horses with us. It was a fun morning. ~Kennedy & Brock Osborn~ Dear Larry, Chris & Joel ~ Ever so often I come from Chicago to visit my brother Randy in Inyokern. This time we decided to go horseback riding, but neither of us knew what to expect. After all, where I come from a "trail ride" consists of a long line of riders with aged horses walking nose to tail along a bridal path. This was just what we didn't want to do. Fortunately, spending 4 hours on the trail with Larry and Joel was a great experience in every respect. In fact, the time actually went by too fast. The horses were well-trained and matched to our ability. From the mountain paths to wading in the Kern River, the scenery was spectacular. We learned much about the fascinating history of the Kern Valley. Perhaps best of all was the riding with Larry and Joel, two wonderful, really fun guys with readily apparent enthusiasm and love what they do, and willingness to share their knowledge and experience with us. It definitely was a 5-star plus experience, and I can't wait until I return to do it again. Thanks for helping make my trip out West such a wonderful experience. Very truly yours, Richard A. Crane We have helped some of our friends adopt their own "wild mustangs". We have also given riding lessons to some young children. It builds confidence and patience. The children have come to know that horses are loving and gentle. If you have gone riding with us and would like to see your picture on our website. Just e-mail the pictures to us and we'll try to add them in between feedings! |
